RFID Expert Drives Product Development for New Markets!

RFID Industrie 4.0
Despite global supply bottlenecks and the corona pandemic, RFID expert iDTRONIC has maintained delivery capability, optimized existing products and expanded the RFID solutions and product portfolio. The result: new embedded RFID readers and an optimized BLUEBOX product line are scheduled for release before the end of 2022. The company’s strategy is to establish itself in specialty product markets with the new products.

► New Projects and Products Planned for 2022

The company focuses on the sectors of e-mobility, machine identification, medical technology, embedded RFID, OEM products, UHF for special production processes and special vehicle construction. To establish the company in these areas, new embedded RFID readers are being developed and the BLUEBOX product line optimized. These are designed for a wide range of applications.

“New product development is a milestone for 2022,” emphasizes Patrick Kochendörfer, Senior Product Manager, iDTRONIC. “Equally important is the market launch. The plan is to introduce the new products at the Wireless IoT tomorrow 2022 and Embedded World 2022 exhibitions.”

The embedded RFID reader is to be used, for example, in medical technology, machine authentication and in the field of e-mobility. A payment function allows payments to be made by credit card, regardless of the provider.

The BLUEBOX product series is designed for applications in machine and vehicle control. Identification tasks on agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles and construction machinery are performed using the UHF RFID readers of the product series. A compact design and variable reading ranges increase the application diversity in industrial applications.

► iDTRONIC is prepared for RFID trends with new products

“RFID is being increasingly used in the fields of e-mobility, machine identification and medical technology in particular,” explains Patrick Kochendörfer. “The new products are designed to offer additional functions. Technologies, frequencies and the antennas of the devices are individually adapted depending on the use case.”

“Currently, the use of RFID is changing, with the use of HF and NFC becoming more widespread. Furthermore, customers are requesting different read ranges for the devices,” Kochendörfer continues. “The new products meet exactly these requirements for individual customization options.”
